Blind Transfer

Learn how to transfer calls quickly and efficiently without prior consultation (Blind Transfer).

18. Feb. 2026

A Blind Transfer (also known as “Cold Transfer”) is a method where you transfer an active call directly to another participant without consulting them first. As soon as you initiate the transfer, the call ends for you and the caller connects directly to the destination (colleague, queue, external number).

This method is particularly efficient if you want to forward the caller quickly and no prior announcement to the recipient is necessary.

Transfer via Call Element

The classic way to transfer a call is directly via the active call element in your pascom app.

Blind Transfer via Call Element

During an active call, click the button in the call element.
Enter the phone number, extension or name of the destination in the input field.
Click the to finally transfer the call.

Blind Transfer via Call Element under entering the phone number

A even more efficient method is transferring via the contact list. Thanks to the presence status, you can immediately see if the desired colleague is available before you transfer the call. You also save yourself from typing the phone number.

During the active call, search for the desired colleague or queue in your contact list.
Right-click on the contact.
Select the option from the context menu.

Blind Transfer via Contact List

Efficiency Tip: Prefer using the contact list method. This prevents unsuccessful transfer attempts to colleagues who are currently “Away” or “Busy”.
