For over 25 years, we have stood for VoIP telephone systems that function reliably in everyday work. PASCOM remains owner-managed and independent to this day. This structure forms the basis of our commitment. We develop communication solutions that are clearly structured and stand the test of time. Our focus is not on technology overload, but rather on a well-thought-out and transparent architecture from the outset. Processes remain traceable, and operation is robust and intuitive. New requirements can be integrated without overloading the system. This ensures stable communication, even as organizations grow and structures become more complex.

The PASCOM Story.
The beginning was down to curiosity.
PASCOM didn't start with a business plan. Instead, it began with two inquisitive brothers, a kids room, and a considerable enthusiasm for computers.
Quirin and Mathias Pasquay wanted to know how things worked from an early age: computers, networks, systems. If something didn't work, they didn't discuss it for long, they just tried it out. The desk was their workspace, workshop, and laboratory all in one.
The first customer arrived sooner than expected.
Over time, the first inquiries started coming in. Friends, acquaintances, small businesses. "Could you take a look at this?" became "Can you set this up for us?" Curiosity turned into responsibility.
In 1997, at the age of 18, Mathias registered his first company. No big deal. More of a formal step to give some structure to what was already happening.
First networks, then communication
In the early years, the focus was on classic IT topics: building networks, keeping systems stable, and ensuring businesses could operate effectively. It quickly became clear what truly mattered: not the latest technology, but solutions that work, even under pressure. This approach remained, even as the focus shifted.
When telephony suddenly became software.
From the mid-2000s onward, something fundamental changed. Telephony became software-based. Voice over IP wasn't yet standard practice, more of a promise. A customer asked, "Can you do that too?" The answer was honest: "We'll take a look." Many tests, failed attempts, and learning curves followed. The first in-house VoIP server was named MobyDick. It worked. But it also revealed its limitations.
Why one whale alone is not enough
MobyDick was powerful. But also cumbersome. With each new feature, it grew larger and more difficult to control. Competing solutions often took a different approach: many small modules, many individual solutions, many arms. More like an octopus than a whale. This worked in the short term. Eventually, it became too complicated, with too many tools, interfaces, and dependencies.
PASCOM developed a different approach: successful communication requires a system that belongs together.
A decision, not a coincidence
So, a new approach was taken. Not just in isolated instances, but fundamentally. What if telephony, messaging, meetings, and collaboration were conceived together from the outset? Simply structured. Clearly organized. And designed to work in everyday use. This idea gave rise to PASCOM. And later: PASCOM ONE. Not as a collection of features, but as a unified platform.
Today
PASCOM today is a technology company based in Deggendorf, Germany, that has grown over the years AND still remains owner-managed. It boasts a sophisticated communication platform and a clear vision. Decisions are made where they have an impact: close to practical application, close to the people who use it every day.
